I feel as though Berkshire Community College does not recognize outstanding students with high GPA's, and instead provides the highest scholarships to sub par students. Hard work and determination should be better observed and rewarded, as current methods of scholarship recipient selection are not designed to reward students with academic excellence, self determination, and participation in community service. The school is very affordable, and is definitely worth the investment. BCC is a great stepping stone, but if you are an exceptional student, recognition of your efforts will most likely come from colleges you attend following this community college.
