Overview

South Georgia Technical College (SGTC), located in Americus, Georgia, is a public, two-year institution that specializes in technical and vocational education. The college, founded in 1948, is situated approximately 10 miles northeast of Plains and roughly 60 miles southwest of Macon. South Georgia Technical College is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
