Overview

Saint Leo University, established in 1889, is a private liberal arts institution located in Saint Leo, Florida, approximately 35 miles north of Tampa. It offers a suburban campus environment amidst the rolling hills of Central Florida, with Spanish Mission-style architecture prevalent throughout its buildings. The university serves a diverse student body and provides a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable emphasis on business, education, and criminal justice majors. Saint Leo is considered moderately selective in its admissions process. For students opting for residential life, the university offers on-campus housing options. While the athletic prowess of Saint Leo University is not the defining element of the institution, it does compete in NCAA Division II as the Lions, with several sports programs, including but not limited to soccer, basketball, and golf.

In the most recent statistical year 6,928 prospective students applied, and 5,549 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 880 enrolled in the school.  5,509 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 4,733 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $24,990 plus fees of $2,060.
