Overview

Wilmington University is a private institution established in 1968, situated in New Castle, Delaware, with satellite locations throughout the state and in New Jersey and Maryland. A short drive from both Philadelphia and Baltimore, Wilmington University offers a suburban campus environment with a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs. Notably, the university features a flexible approach to learning with an emphasis on professional and career-oriented education, which includes popular majors such as business, management, and nursing. The university has a predominantly open admissions policy, facilitating accessibility to higher education for a broad demographic of students. Wilmington University does provide on-campus housing options to accommodate its student body, although many students choose to live off-campus or commute.

Wilmington University has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  4,144 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 9,876 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $11,970 plus fees of $60.
