Overview

Middlesex Community College (MxCC) is a public community college located in Middletown, Connecticut, established in 1966. With its central campus situated along the scenic Connecticut River, MxCC offers a serene learning environment within the compact city of Middletown and just a short drive from the state capital, Hartford. The college provides a diverse range of academic programs with popular majors that include Broadcast-Cinema, Veterinary Technology, and Ophthalmic Design and Dispensing. MxCC operates with an open admissions policy, simplifying the enrollment process for local high school graduates and adult learners. While the college does not offer on-campus housing, it integrates into the broader Middletown community, where students may seek local accommodations. Middlesex Community College does not have an athletic program that participates in intercollegiate sports.

Middlesex Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  730 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,150 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $4,176 plus fees of $524.
