Prescott College

Overview

Prescott College is a private liberal arts institution established in 1966, set in Prescott, Arizona, a small city surrounded by the natural beauty of mountains, pine forests, and a mild climate. The college is approximately 100 miles north of Phoenix, providing access to a larger metropolitan area. It is recognized for its experiential and environmentally-focused education that emphasizes self-directed learning and social justice. Prescott College offers a range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degree programs, with a particular emphasis on environmental studies and outdoor education. The application process is considered holistically selective, valuing students' experiences and potential contributions to the college community. In the most recent statistical year 185 prospective students applied, and 182 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 33 enrolled in the school.  479 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 490 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $33,960 plus fees of $1,490.
