Overview

Amridge University is a private institution founded in 1967 with a strong focus on liberal arts and Bible studies. Located in Montgomery, Alabama, the university offers a serene campus environment close to the numerous historical and cultural amenities of the state's capital. Known for its distance learning programs, Amridge University primarily serves working adults and has become a pioneer in online education, though it also maintains a traditional campus. The university presents a modest selection of academic programs with a notable emphasis on Business, Counseling, and Human Services. While Amridge University practices an open admissions policy, it maintains a commitment to small class sizes for personalized learning experiences. Amridge University has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  260 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 387 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $6,000 plus fees of $950.

Amridge University is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
