Hey everyone, I'm torn between UCLA and USC and trying to figure out which one is seen as more prestigious. I'm planning to major in business, and I've heard great things about both schools. Could anyone provide some insight or personal experiences that might help me decide? Thanks!
I'm considering applying to the University of Miami and trying to figure out where I stand. Does anyone know the typical GPA range for accepted students? I currently have a 3.4, and I really want to gauge my chances. Would it help if I focused on elevating my GPA in senior year, or should I highlight other strengths in my application?
My friends and I are researching colleges, and we're curious about which ones are considered toughest to get into in West Virginia. I've heard great things about WVU, but are there any other schools that are more selective? Anyone got advice or personal experiences?

The best part of Camp Hamp is the 5-college system, especially Amherst College for academics. Hampshire offers incredible opportunities for self-reflection and critical thinking but at a high cost. There is absolutely no accountability for moral character or religious/traditional values. While it prepared me to gain entrance into and perform well in an Ivy League (Harvard) graduate school, Camp Hamp is EXCESSIVELY liberal. It is not somewhere I would send my children or grandchildren.
The staff and friars are nice. The students act like they are in junior high school. The girls are mean and rich entitled white kids. They are mostly bullies. It's a good school if you went to a private rich college, if you're poor don't bother. These stuck-up bullies make you really feel like you have wasted money. The teachers are good, everything else is not worth it. Complete eye-opening experience. Taught me EVERYTHING I never want to be.
The campus is "cold". There is NO sense of community at this campus. There are no social opportunities to meet other students. The clubs offered are minimal at best. The "activities board" located next to the school store? is constantly blank. For a school focused on entrepreneurship, they have fallen short on promoting students to reach out to their consumers, know their local demographics, or even learn to communicate to people. Honestly, the campus feels like a "commuter school". I am not the type to party, but it would be nice to have an opportunity to socialize. The majority of the student population is international. The menu offers no diversity. My expectations are not high, however offering more than one or two cultural foods would be nice. The dorms lack any common areas, if you don?t count the one coffee table in a corner. No chance to engage in socialization. No chance to meet other students in your dorm. It took weeks for me to locate my RA. This has been a very disappointing, lonely experience considering the expense of this school ($87K+).
