Can someone explain how a 3.0 GPA affects college admissions? I'm freaking out because my GPA is right on the edge, and I'm nervous about getting into a decent school. Are there certain colleges that are more lenient with a 3.0 GPA, or should I look to improve other aspects of my application?

I am currently going here and not impressed at all. Super expensive for old, moldy, nasty, lots of little creatures (roaches, moth flies, flies). You wash your clothes and get it stolen!!! Then RAs break the rules all the time and ignore you when you try to reach out about a problem. On top of that you try to reach to higher authority and never respond unless money related. And so much drama EVERYWHERE!! This is not an all GIRLS SCHOOL either! Just save your money.
I got a great education here and met some of the best people with whom I am still very close today, over 20 years later. This group is my best friends and I met them at UNO There are many opportunities for student engagement, but you may have to look for them. I was very active and served as an officer in my sorority. I was on the student activities council and I worked part time on campus at the recreation center - which is a fantastic place for student engagement. You?re in one of the most culturally vibrant and festive cities in the world but located on the quieter side of town. Yes, New Orleans has a quiet side of town and it?s right on the lakefront. Just walk over the levee to read, study, picnic, and relax on the lakefront; or head out into the city for unbelievable music, food and the best nightlife imaginable- it?s only about 10 minutes away!
Not worth the money especially because you have to teach yourself a lot of stuff on your own. Some faculty seem like they care but probably should retire soon due to age and not wanting to focus on new ways to learn and do things. Safe campus as far as crime goes. No on campus housing so that can be a pain.
