Is a 1.1 good or bad?

To put it bluntly, a 1.1 is not a good GPA. It's far below the national average high school GPA of 3.1. You don't have a realistic chance of getting into traditional four-year colleges that have competitive admissions. You need to do all you can to get your grade average above a 2.0, even better if you can raise it to a 2.5 or 3.0. As things stand, your best option for college is looking at two year community colleges that offer open admission to all GPA's.

1.1 letter grade and percentage

A 1.1 grade point average is a numerical representation of your course letter grades on a 4.0 scale. Your 1.1 GPA indicates you averaged D grades in your classes and delivered less than satisfactory performance. The percent equivalent of a 1.1 grade point average is 65% on the percentage grading scale. This means that you scored an average of 65% on tests and assignments. How high can I still increase my 1.1 GPA?

Freshmen with a 1.1 after first semester can still possibly raise their GPA as high as a 3.64 or drop it to a 0.14. There is still a lot of time to change your GPA before graduation and it can vary by 3.50 grade points in the future.
