Sterling College

A strong reason for attending college is to exercise critical thinking and communication skills in a manner that, furthermore, is professionally supportive. Everyone at Sterling has the same political beliefs, and regardless, are unable to academically understand opposing arguements, thus making for banal class discussions. Students also attend college to mingle with people from different backgrounds and to be exposed to new interests. Sterling's student body is mostly white folk from crunchy backgrounds with same or simmilar interests, and the only classes provided have to do with a narrow field of study. Sterling college promotes wholistic perspectives, yet fails to provide for studies outside their box. Also, when I attended Sterling, many students lacked basic paper writing skills, though did fine with a low bar. If you want to go on to graduate school, expect to have to complete 2 more terms elsewhere to meet undergrad work needed for admittance to MA Ecology programs.

Sterling is a unique community allowing for close knit relationships and open communication. Students at Sterling are expected to be fully integrated into this atmosphere as it doesn't allow for "slipping through the cracks". The student body has a wide range of ages and backgrounds.
