Overview

College for Creative Studies (CCS) is a private institution located in Detroit, Michigan, dedicated to the education of artists and designers. Founded in 1906 as the Detroit Society of Arts and Crafts, CCS has established itself as a beacon in art and design education, boasting a campus that reflects a blend of modern facilities, including the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education, and historic architecture. The urban campus sits in Detroit's Cultural Center, offering students easy access to museums, galleries, and a vibrant city atmosphere that complements the school's creative ethos. In the most recent statistical year 1,622 prospective students applied, and 798 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 260 enrolled in the school.  1,199 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 318 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $48,030 plus fees of $1,405.
