Grand Canyon University Review

Grand Canyon University is an amazing university. I attended this university while on active duty in the Army, and they maximized credit from my JST to the fullest. I completed a BS in Applied Management from the Colangelo College of Business, and the academics were rigorous, the professors were fair and engaged, and the education was meaningful and useful. I was later persuaded by my counselor, who was amazing, to complete a Master of Science in Leadership with an empha... Read the full review...

Professors and classes are great, other then that a horrible experience. They promote it as a diverse setting; It's not. Geographically diverse, yes. Culturally, no. Unless you're coming from an East Coast Prep School or have Legacy ties forget it, You're a second class citizen. Requirements for Legacy's are lower than the standards for incoming freshman. I enjoyed my UCF experience. Excellent College of Education! I lived on campus and I commuted. Because it has such a large enrollment, it's important to either find a group of friends you click with if living on campus, or have a strong support system if commuting. Otherwise, yes, as one reviewer stated, you could feel like a number. But I am very proud of my UCF degree. Go Knights!... Read the full review...

Some years ago the College offered a Regiment (cadet) program and a non-regiment (civilian ) choice for student life. I highly recommend the regiment program as it also leads to a the Merchant Marine Officer license. A highly valuable professional credential. These extra nautical courses and summer sea term on the training ship can added to any BS degree program. Post graduation you realize that the professional ship officer license is as valuable as the degree... Read the full review...

I currently go to Texas State and I love it! I read the other two reviews on here bashing it, and I have to say that I had no problems at all enrolling with the GI Bill and the other person going to TXST is extremely biased and probably should have chosen a private religious college.
My only complaint is that parking is atrocious, and the dorms are pretty terrible. I don't live in them though. All of my professors are caring and attentive. The campus is very well taken... Read the full review...
