The Best Midwestern Colleges for a 1000 on the New SAT

What Midwestern colleges can I get into with a SAT score of 1000?

Important: If you took the SAT prior to March 2016, your test was scored on the old 2400 point scale. All SAT scores on this site have been updated to reflect the SAT 1600 point scale per the College Board's concordance tables.

With a 1000 on the SAT, these are the Midwestern colleges you should have a chance to get into.

CollegeSimply analyzed the most recent published freshman class SAT scores for all Midwestern colleges and found 212 schools where a 1000 places you within or slightly outside the middle fifty percent of admitted students. The colleges are ranked by their position on our best colleges ranking and thus represent the better schools you may be able to get into and those which have historically accepted a 1000.

Is a 1000 on the SAT a good score? A 1000 is a little worse than average. It places you in the bottom 40th percentile nationally out of the 1.7 million students taking the SAT this year.

For comparison purposes, a 1000 on the SAT converts to a 19 on the ACT based on College Board concordance for the new SAT. Not all colleges report both SAT and ACT score admission data so you should check our comparable listings for both standardized tests to find academically similar schools.
