Central Wyoming College (CWC), located in Riverton, Wyoming, is a public community college founded in 1966 and serves the primarily rural central region of the state. Offering a variety of two-year associate degree programs, as well as certificate and professional development options, CWC is particularly noted for its strong programs in vocational training, health sciences, and outdoor education. Set on a scenic campus amid the diverse geography of the Wind River range, the college provides a unique learning environment that blends natural beauty with the low-rise, modern architecture of its facilities. While Central Wyoming College offers a relatively open admissions policy, it maintains a commitment to academic rigor and personal attention within its smaller class sizes. The college accommodates students in several housing options, including apartment-style and traditional residence halls. Though not primarily known for athletics, CWC supports a range of student athlete programs and competes with its teams known as the Rustlers.
