Overview

Viterbo University is a private Roman Catholic liberal arts institution situated in La Crosse, Wisconsin, which provides a serene campus setting within a vibrant river town. Established by the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration in 1890, Viterbo's rich history is reflected in its campus architecture that highlights the Italian Renaissance style. With a focus on the liberal arts and professional development, the university offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs, including notable nursing and performing arts majors. Viterbo's academic profile is complemented by an admissions process that is moderately selective. The university fosters a residential community with ample on-campus housing options for students. In the most recent statistical year 1,401 prospective students applied, and 1,014 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 235 enrolled in the school.  1,755 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 701 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $30,400 plus fees of $750.
