Overview

Castleton University, established in 1787 and located in Castleton, Vermont, stands as one of the oldest institutions of higher education in the United States. Known for its liberal arts and professional studies programs, the university offers a range of majors, with Business, Nursing, and Education being particularly prominent. The campus exudes a rural atmosphere, with historical buildings that reflect a blend of traditional and modern architectural styles, fostering a rich educational environment within a scenic landscape. In the most recent statistical year 3,115 prospective students applied, and 2,508 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 422 enrolled in the school.  1,499 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 864 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $11,832 plus fees of $1,246.
