Saint Edward's University

Overview

Saint Edward's University, established in 1885, is a private Roman Catholic university located in the urban setting of Austin, Texas, just minutes from the downtown area. The campus is noted for its distinctive red-tiled roofs and Holy Cross Hall?s striking Gothic Revival architecture. It offers a wide array of undergraduate and graduate programs, with Business, Psychology, and Communication among the most popular majors. A moderate-sized institution, Saint Edward's maintains a selective admissions process. The university provides on-campus housing options, including residence halls and apartments, to accommodate a significant portion of its student body. While Saint Edward's is not primarily known for its athletic programs, it competes in the NCAA Division II as the Hilltoppers, fielding a range of men's and women's sports teams.
