Panola College

Overview

Founded in 1947, Panola College is a public community college situated in Carthage, Texas, which is positioned roughly 150 miles southeast of Dallas. The campus is characterized by its intimate atmosphere and rural setting, providing a quiet, focused environment for its student body. Offering a variety of academic programs, Panola College is particularly known for its strong nursing, natural gas compression technology, and petroleum technology programs. While the college maintains an open admissions policy, indicative of a generally inclusive selection process, it places emphasis on personalized student support and career readiness. Panola College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  920 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,466 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $792 plus fees of $3,048.
