Overview

Austin Community College District (ACC) is a public community college system serving the Austin, Texas metropolitan area. Established in 1973, ACC operates multiple campuses and centers throughout the region, with diverse educational environments reflecting the vibrant urban and suburban settings in which they are located. Offering a broad array of associate degree programs, certifications, and continuing education options, ACC is particularly noted for its programs in nursing, business, and creative arts. As an open-access institution, ACC maintains a non-competitive admissions policy, aiming to provide educational opportunities to all students. The college does not offer on-campus housing, catering instead to a commuter population. While ACC does not have a traditional intercollegiate athletics program, it provides a variety of student activities and resources aimed at fostering educational and professional development.

Austin Community College District has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  7,843 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 26,684 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $2,010 plus fees of $6,570.
