Overview

Vanderbilt University, situated in Nashville, Tennessee, is a private research institution founded in 1873 and named after shipping and rail magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt. The campus, spanning approximately 330 acres, showcases a blend of modern and historic architecture and is designated as a national arboretum. Known for its strong emphasis on rigorous academics and research, Vanderbilt offers a diverse array of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable strengths in education, law, medicine, and management.
