Vanderbilt University, situated in Nashville, Tennessee, is a private research institution founded in 1873 and named after shipping and rail magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt. The campus, spanning approximately 330 acres, showcases a blend of modern and historic architecture and is designated as a national arboretum.
