Tennessee State University (TSU) is a comprehensive, historically black university located in Nashville, Tennessee, recognized for its vibrant campus life within a bustling urban setting. Tennessee State University has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  7,335 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,883 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $7,128 plus fees of $1,208.
