Fisk University, established in 1866, is a private historically black university located in Nashville, Tennessee. Known for its rigorous liberal arts curriculum and active research initiatives, Fisk is one of the oldest institutions of higher education for African Americans. The campus boasts notable historic buildings, such as Jubilee Hall, an example of Victorian Gothic architecture and the first permanent structure built in the South for the education of black students.
