Wofford College

Overview

Wofford College is a private liberal arts college located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, established in 1854. The campus, known for its historic buildings and traditional Southern architecture, spreads across a 170-acre area, featuring a mix of old-world charm with modern facilities. It is situated in the Upstate region, near the major city of Greenville. Wofford offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate programs, with noted strengths in fields such as biology, finance, and government. The institution operates on a semester-based academic calendar and has a reputation for being selective in its admissions process. Residential life is an integral part of the student experience, with a variety of housing options available for undergraduates. In the most recent statistical year 4,425 prospective students applied, and 2,663 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 507 enrolled in the school.  1,807 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 16 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $49,760 plus fees of $1,770.
