Overview

The University of South Carolina-Lancaster is a two-year regional campus of the University of South Carolina system, located in Lancaster, South Carolina, approximately 40 miles south of Charlotte, North Carolina. Established in 1959, it offers a variety of associate degree programs and provides opportunities for baccalaureate studies through select partnerships. The campus is characterized by its small class sizes and personal attention to students. The academic environment at USC Lancaster is bolstered by a moderately selective admissions process, aiming to provide quality education through a diverse range of programs, including its most notable offerings in business administration and liberal arts. While on-campus housing is not available, the campus ensures that students have access to local housing options to support their educational experience. The college does not have a significant focus on intercollegiate athletics.

In the most recent statistical year 731 prospective students applied, and 557 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 341 enrolled in the school.  675 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,097 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $7,158 plus fees of $400.
