Overview

Penn State Worthington Scranton, located in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, is a commonwealth campus of Pennsylvania State University. It provides a suburban setting just outside the urban area of Scranton, offering students a blend of residential tranquility within reach of city amenities. Established in 1923, this campus continues the university's long-standing tradition of public service and educational outreach. The campus presents an array of associate and baccalaureate degree programs, with business, nursing, and information sciences among the more popular fields of study. While Penn State Worthington Scranton maintains an open-enrollment policy, some programs may have additional requirements, rendering the overall application process moderately selective. On-campus housing is not available; however, the campus helps facilitate local living arrangements for students. The college does not have a significant profile in intercollegiate athletics.

In the most recent statistical year 2,297 prospective students applied, and 2,159 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 229 enrolled in the school.  824 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 51 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $14,624 plus fees of $516.
