Overview

Penn State New Kensington is a public institution located in Upper Burrell, Pennsylvania, approximately 17 miles northeast of Pittsburgh. It is one of the Commonwealth campuses of the Pennsylvania State University, with its history tracing back to its founding in 1958. Penn State New Kensington offers a suburban setting that provides a calm learning atmosphere, while its proximity to Pittsburgh allows access to urban amenities and cultural opportunities.
