Penn State Greater Allegheny

Overview

Penn State Greater Allegheny, located in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, is a regional campus of the Pennsylvania State University system, situated approximately 15 miles from Pittsburgh. Established in 1934, it offers an intimate campus setting that integrates both traditional and contemporary architecture, with facilities that support on-campus living for its student body. The campus provides a range of associate and bachelor's degree programs, with a notable emphasis on Information Sciences and Technology. Admission to Penn State Greater Allegheny is considered less selective in comparison to other institutions across the nation. While not widely recognized for intercollegiate athletics, the campus is a part of the Penn State University Athletic Conference, hosting teams under the moniker of the Nittany Lions.

In the most recent statistical year 672 prospective students applied, and 589 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 115 enrolled in the school.  338 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 25 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $13,824 plus fees of $516.
