Keystone College

Overview

Keystone College, established in 1868, is a private, coeducational institution situated in La Plume, Pennsylvania, nestled in the Endless Mountains with a rural campus spanning approximately 270 acres. Located roughly 15 miles northwest of Scranton, the college offers a scenic and tranquil learning environment. Keystone provides an array of undergraduate and graduate programs, with notable emphasis on the natural sciences, social sciences, and education. It operates on a semester-based academic calendar, facilitating an intimate educational setting characterized by small class sizes and personal attention, with an array of online learning opportunities. The college displays a moderately selective admissions process. On-campus living is available, with a variety of housing options to accommodate students. Keystone's architecture combines historic and modern styles, contributing to a distinctive campus aesthetic. While Keystone College does have athletic teams known as the Giants, they are not particularly distinguished for their athletics on a national level.

In the most recent statistical year 1,572 prospective students applied, and 1,268 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 199 enrolled in the school.  837 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 294 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $14,950 plus fees of $2,500.
