Bryn Athyn College of the New Church

Overview

Bryn Athyn College of the New Church is a small liberal arts college located in Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, nestled in a suburban setting approximately 20 miles northeast of Philadelphia. Founded by the New Church, which is based on the teachings of Emanuel Swedenborg, the institution offers a curriculum that emphasizes spiritual growth and character development alongside academic rigor. The campus is distinguished by its Gothic architecture with the renowned Bryn Athyn Cathedral nearby. Bryn Athyn provides on-campus housing options to foster a close-knit learning environment. Academically, the college is known for its religious education program and also offers a variety of majors with an inclusive yet selective admissions process. While the college does provide an athletic program, it is not predominantly recognized for athletic prowess on a national level.

In the most recent statistical year 579 prospective students applied, and 463 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 78 enrolled in the school.  265 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 20 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $25,140 plus fees of $1,860.
