Linfield University, a private institution founded in 1858, is situated in McMinnville, Oregon, approximately 38 miles southwest of Portland. The university?s campus features a blend of traditional brick buildings and modern facilities, nestled in the picturesque Willamette Valley. Linfield offers a variety of undergraduate degrees, with a liberal arts focus, and is particularly known for its strong programs in nursing, business, and wine studies, reflective of the region?s prominence in viticulture. The university operates on a semester-based academic calendar and maintains a selective admissions process. Linfield provides a residential experience with the majority of students living on its 189-acre campus, which includes multiple residence halls and apartments. Its location provides easy access to both the cultural opportunities of a major urban center and the outdoor activities offered by the valley and nearby Pacific Coast. Linfield?s Wildcats compete in the NCAA Division III, with particular recognition in baseball and football.
