University of Mount Union

Overview

The University of Mount Union, located in Alliance, Ohio, is a private liberal arts college established in 1846. Approximately an hour's drive from both Cleveland and Pittsburgh, its suburban campus spans 123 acres and features a mix of modern and historic architecture. Mount Union offers a broad curriculum with notable programs in the health sciences, engineering, and business, which are among the students' popular choices for majors. Housing options include a variety of residence halls and apartment-style accommodations providing on-campus living experiences for undergraduates. Although not predominantly known for its athletics, the university competes in NCAA Division III as the Purple Raiders. In the most recent statistical year 3,521 prospective students applied, and 2,667 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 551 enrolled in the school.  2,021 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 109 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $33,400 plus fees of $400.
