Overview

Ohio State University-Newark Campus is a regional campus of the Ohio State University system located in Newark, Ohio, approximately 40 miles east of the state capital, Columbus. Established in 1957, the campus offers an alternative pathway to the resources of a major research institution within a small-campus environment. Occupying nearly 200 acres, the campus combines modern architectural designs with facilities such as the John L. and Christine Warner Library and Student Center and provides on-campus housing opportunities through the Newark Residence Hall and McConnell Hall. OSU-Newark presents a noncompetitive admissions process with open access to Ohio residents and admits a range of students each year, focusing on a holistic review of applicants. Academically, the campus is known for a variety of bachelor's and associate degree programs, with popular majors including Business, Education, Nursing, and Social Work.

Ohio State University Newark Campus has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,854 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 409 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $8,677 plus fees of $267.
