Elon University is a private liberal arts institution located in Elon, North Carolina, situated in a suburban area and approximately a 35-minute drive east from the major city of Greensboro. Established in 1889, the university is recognized for its distinctive Georgian-style brick architecture throughout a 656-acre campus. Elon's academic offerings are distributed among six schools, with a noted emphasis on programs in Communications, Business, Education, and a commitment to experiential learning. Application to Elon University is moderately selective, catering to a diverse undergraduate student body.
