Overview

Wagner College is a private, coeducational liberal arts college situated atop Grymes Hill in Staten Island, New York, offering a scenic view of the New York Harbor and a short ferry ride away from the bustling Manhattan. Established in 1883, Wagner presents a picturesque campus notable for its collegiate gothic architecture. The institution maintains a selective admissions process and prioritizes a comprehensive educational experience through its Wagner Plan for the Practical Liberal Arts, which merges a broad curriculum with experiential learning. The college offers a range of undergraduate programs with notable emphasis on business administration, nursing, and performing arts. In the most recent statistical year 2,645 prospective students applied, and 1,813 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 407 enrolled in the school.  1,660 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 289 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $49,460 plus fees of $1,800.
