Overview

The Jewish Theological Seminary of America, situated in New York City, stands as a prestigious institution for higher Jewish education. Founded in 1886, it provides a fusion of rigorous academic scholarship with the deep study of Jewish culture and tradition. The Seminary features a distinctly urban campus in the Morningside Heights neighborhood of Manhattan, near the extensive cultural and educational resources of the city. In the most recent statistical year 132 prospective students applied, and 67 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 40 enrolled in the school.  227 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 91 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $59,702 plus fees of $8,663.
