Overview

Elmira College, founded in 1855 and located in Elmira, New York, stands out for its distinctive Victorian Gothic architecture and is historically noted as one of the earliest colleges to grant degrees to women that were equivalent to those given to men. Situated in a small city environment within the Southern Tier region of New York, Elmira College offers a close-knit campus setting with a variety of undergraduate liberal arts and sciences programs.
