Overview

Alfred University, located in the village of Alfred in western New York, boasts a scenic campus known for its mix of classic and contemporary architecture. Founded in 1836, it is one of the oldest coeducational institutions in the United States. Alfred University offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and graduate programs, with a notable emphasis on ceramic art and engineering, in which it holds a distinguished reputation. In the most recent statistical year 7,091 prospective students applied, and 3,589 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 369 enrolled in the school.  1,484 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 329 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $36,444 plus fees of $1,200.
