Overview

Central New Mexico Community College (CNMCC), located in the urban setting of Albuquerque, New Mexico, is a public, coeducational institution that offers a broad spectrum of associate degrees and certificate programs. CNMCC, which was established in 1964 as Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute before adopting its current name in 2006, presents an open admission policy, welcoming a diverse student body. The campus is known for its commitment to workforce training and adult education across multiple disciplines, with particular emphasis on courses in business, health, technologies, and trades. CNMCC also provides dual credit and online learning options to accommodate the varied needs of its student population. While CNMCC does not have traditional on-campus housing, it offers resources to assist students in finding local accommodations. Notably, the college does not have an emphasis on intercollegiate athletics; instead, it focuses on academic and vocational training for its approximately 22,000 students enrolled in credit and non-credit classes.

Central New Mexico Community College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  4,272 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 14,823 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,512 plus fees of $346.
