The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) is a public research institution established in 1908 and located in Omaha, Nebraska, approximately 60 miles northeast of the state capital, Lincoln. The campus offers a mixture of traditional and modern architecture with a variety of facilities that support on-campus living, including multiple residence halls. UNO serves a diverse population of students and maintains a moderately selective admissions process.
