Dean College

Overview

Dean College is a private institution located in Franklin, Massachusetts, approximately 45 minutes from Boston, giving students access to a quintessential New England setting along with the resources and opportunities of a major metropolitan area. Founded in 1865, Dean has evolved to offer both associate and bachelor?s degrees, with notable programs in business, dance, theatre, and sports management, amongst others. The campus architecture combines historic charm with modern facilities, including a range of student housing options that support on-campus living. Dean College is known for its inclusive and less selective admissions process. The college serves a diverse student body and prioritizes individual attention and support in its academic offerings. While athletics are part of campus life, Dean is not predominantly recognized for a specific sport at the intercollegiate level.

In the most recent statistical year 4,860 prospective students applied, and 3,691 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 343 enrolled in the school.  1,103 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 86 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $43,200 plus fees of $200.
