Morningside College

Overview

Morningside College, founded in 1894, is a private liberal arts college located in Sioux City, Iowa, approximately 100 miles north of Omaha, Nebraska. The campus exhibits a suburban setting with Georgian Colonial architecture and offers a variety of undergraduate programs, with particularly strong emphasis on education and nursing. Morningside College provides on-campus living options in its residence halls and apartment-style housing. Known for its accessible professors and a student-focused learning environment, the institution maintains a moderately selective admissions process. Academically, the school fosters a range of interdisciplinary studies, supporting experiential learning through internships and study abroad opportunities. While not primarily recognized for its athletic achievement, Morningside College competes in the NAIA as the Mustangs.

In the most recent statistical year 3,222 prospective students applied, and 2,275 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 346 enrolled in the school.  1,187 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 1,062 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $35,100 plus fees of $1,510.
