Indiana State University is a public institution located in Terre Haute, Indiana, approximately 77 miles southwest of Indianapolis. Founded in 1865, it offers a range of undergraduate and graduate programs with a notable emphasis on service and experiential learning. The university is set in a small city, providing a suburban feel with its spread-out campus featuring a mix of modern and historic architecture, including the landmark Scott College of Business housed in the renovated Federal Hall.
