Overview

Northwest Nazarene University (NNU), established in 1913, is a private Christian university located in Nampa, Idaho, just 20 miles from Boise, the state's capital and largest city. The university's campus is noted for its red-brick buildings and a blend of modern and historic architecture, offering a serene setting conducive to academic pursuits. NNU provides on-campus housing for students in the form of residence halls and apartment-style living spaces. Academically, it has a broad spectrum of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs with notable emphasis on the fields of theology, business, nursing, and education. Admission to NNU is moderately selective, appealing to a wide range of applicants. The NNU Crusaders compete in NCAA Division II athletics, and while athletics are a component of campus life, they are not the primary focus of the university's national reputation.

Northwest Nazarene University has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,224 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 554 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $35,548 plus fees of $750.
