Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU), located in Tallahassee, stands as a public, historically black university that was founded in 1887. As an institution that lies just minutes away from the State Capitol, FAMU imbues its campus with a combination of contemporary and historic architecture set against the backdrop of North Florida's rolling hills.
