Overview

Trinity Washington University, established in 1897 and located in Washington, D.C., is a private, liberal arts university with a multifaceted history rooted in the education of women. As one of the few universities in the nation's capital, Trinity offers a dynamic campus setting nestled within a thriving metropolitan area, providing students with access to a diverse range of cultural and professional opportunities. Its historic campus showcases a blend of traditional collegiate Gothic architecture and modern facilities, promoting a vibrant educational atmosphere. The university is comprised of an undergraduate college for women and offers coeducational programs to graduate and professional students. In the most recent statistical year 758 prospective students applied, and 735 were granted admission.  Of those admitted 157 enrolled in the school.  1,061 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 834 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $25,360 plus fees of $250.

Trinity Washington University is designated as a Predominantly Black Institution (PBI) and receives federal grants supporting the school's efforts to serve low and middle-income Black Americans.
