San Diego Miramar College

Overview

San Diego Miramar College, established in 1969, is a public community college located in the neighborhood of Miramar, San Diego, California, within close proximity to downtown San Diego. Encompassing 120 acres, the college offers a suburban, commuter-based campus environment featuring a contemporary architectural style without residential facilities. With an open admissions policy, Miramar College welcomes a diverse student population and provides a wide range of associate degree programs, certificates, and transfer programs, including popular majors in business, public safety, and aviation. Notably, its aviation maintenance technology and law enforcement training programs garner significant attention. While academics take center stage, Miramar College does not have an emphasis on intercollegiate athletics; instead, it focuses on educational pathways that suit a variety of student goals, from direct employment to university transfer.

San Diego Miramar College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student.  1,837 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 11,225 attend part time. In-state tuition for 2022/2023, excluding room and board, is $1,104 plus fees of $40.
