Los Angeles Valley College (LAVC), founded in 1949, is a public community college located in the suburban setting of Valley Glen, California, just northwest of downtown Los Angeles. The campus is noted for its distinctive Mid-Century Modern architecture, which adds to the character of the 105-acre site. LAVC offers a variety of associate degrees and certificate programs, with a strong emphasis on liberal arts, sciences, and vocational education.
