Life Pacific College, officially known as Life Pacific University, is a private, four-year institution located in San Dimas, California, with a campus that exudes a suburban feel just a short drive from the dynamic urban center of Los Angeles. Founded in 1923, the university's history is deeply rooted in the traditions of the Foursquare Church and it continues to be affiliated with this Pentecostal denomination. The university specializes in theological studies and leadership training, with a strong focus on ministry and biblical studies among its undergraduate academic offerings. Life Pacific maintains a somewhat selective admissions process. The campus features residential facilities to accommodate its student body, thereby fostering an on-campus living experience integral to student life. Moreover, the institution does not have an extensive emphasis on intercollegiate athletics; its academic programs and preparation for ministry roles set the distinctive character of the student experience at Life Pacific University.
In the most recent statistical year 145 prospective students applied, and 137 were granted admission. Of those admitted 75 enrolled in the school. 436 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 64 attend part time.
