California State University-Sacramento, commonly known as Sacramento State, is a public university located in California's capital city, Sacramento. Founded in 1947, the campus spans more than 300 acres, nestled less than 5 miles from the downtown area, providing a suburban ambiance within proximity to urban amenities. The university is part of the larger California State University system and offers a broad spectrum of undergraduate and graduate programs, including noteworthy offerings in Business Administration, Health Professions, and Social Sciences.
